David Adam - Traditional Scottish Woodwind
This website is the home page of David Adam, a Scottish woodwind specialist.
Here is a list of the instruments he plays, click on the items for more info;
- Bombarde - The loudest of traditional woodwind, used in Brittany in pipe bands and at dances
- Bagpipes - The most recognisable and well known of the Scottish Instruments
- Borderpipes - Quieter then the bagpipes and in A so they can accompany many other Scottish instruments.
- Smallpipes - Even quieter than borderpipes and they have a lower and softer range.
- Wooden Flute - Fully chromatic like a silver flute but with a stronger, darker sound
- Whistle - Not as versatile as the flute but unique and played in a number of ranges from tenor D to soprano E
